On October 8, the last day of the holiday, many expressways in Huzhou, such as Hangning, Shensu, Zhejiang and Anhui, began to usher in return traffic in the early morning.
In the monitoring hall of Huzhou Management Center of Zhejiang Communications Group Expressway, the staff are keeping a close eye on the monitoring big screen and paying attention to the road traffic. In view of the large holiday traffic, Huzhou Management Center has increased the frequency of monitoring and inspection of its own road sections and the dispatch of road network forces, and made every effort to ensure that the road sections with large traffic flows are unblocked. In Huzhou Management Center, a key area, the investment in rescue vehicles and rescue personnel has also been increased, and the rescue forces for clearing obstacles have been distributed in a staggered way. More than 550 people have been invested in various road sections under their jurisdiction, and more than 150 rescue vehicles and early warning vehicles have been invested to do a good job in ensuring smooth travel during holidays.
At the Shensu-Zhejiang-Anhui Expressway, the traffic has also increased significantly today, and many foreign tourists have set foot on the return journey. "Since the 7th, the return traffic has dominated, and the traffic in Shanghai has increased obviously, with short-term heavy traffic in some sections. It is estimated that the cross-section traffic will exceed 100,000 vehicles today, which is about 6 times of the usual, and the peak will last until around 24: 00." The staff of Huzhou Management Center of Zhejiang Communications Group introduced.
In view of the large return traffic, Huzhou Management Center, in combination with the key nodes such as important high-speed hubs, service areas and tunnels under its jurisdiction, arranges forces to be stationed in front, with an average interval of less than 12 kilometers at each point, creating a "12-minute emergency rescue response circle" to ensure that sudden accidents can be handled in the first time, and also uses the variable information board of road sections to release information such as large traffic and flexible opening of emergency lanes, so as to facilitate car owners to grasp them in time. At the same time, drones are also enabled to conduct regular inspections on key road sections in the jurisdiction, discover hidden dangers on the road in time through air patrols, make air calls and take the initiative to intervene in accidents and faulty vehicles, and promote the road protection from "passive receiving reports" to "active disposal".
During the return journey, Shen-Su-Zhe-Wan Expressway connects with Chang-Xing West in Shanghai, Changxing South in Hangzhou in Hangzhou to Lijiaxiang Hub, Huzhou North to Lushan Hub, and Lian-Hang Expressway connects with Lian-Shi Hub in Suzhou. Intermittent congestion will slow down due to the large return flow. Huzhou East, Huzhou South, South Taihu Lake, Deqing, Changxing West, Changxing South and other toll stations entering the city are prone to concentrated ups and downs. It is recommended that the majority of car owners reasonably choose the travel time and routes to avoid the sections that are easy to block at peak hours. In case of congestion, they can get off the expressway from the toll station behind the congestion point in advance, and then get off the expressway from the local road after passing the congestion point.
It is worth reminding that at 24 o’clock this evening, the free passage of the holiday is over. Vehicles that are still driving on the expressway before the end of the free time period are advised to choose the nearest toll station to leave the expressway according to the actual location and time. After the end of the free passage, they will get back on the expressway to avoid safety accidents caused by rushing and speeding.
