The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will continue to make efforts to promote the employment of returning migrant workers from four aspects.

CCTV News:The State Council Information Office held a press conference on July 20th. According to the press conference, in the first half of this year, the agricultural and rural sectors vigorously developed rural industries. By the end of June, the local employment of returning migrant workers reached 90.7%. The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said that the next step will be to continuously promote the employment of returning migrant workers from four aspects.

Developing industries to enrich the people and stabilize their posts is the key to promote the local employment of returning migrant workers. The next step will focus on the development of agricultural products processing and circulation industry, as well as the cold chain logistics of agricultural products storage and preservation, and build a whole agricultural industrial chain from farmland to table, leaving employment opportunities in rural areas and farmers as much as possible. At the same time, based on rural resources, we will expand the multiple functions of agriculture, explore the diverse values of rural areas, promote rural leisure tourism, live broadcast of goods, rural e-commerce and other new formats, and create more employment opportunities.

In terms of supporting rural entrepreneurship and job creation, we will carry out in-depth actions to cultivate rural entrepreneurial innovation leaders, implement entrepreneurial support policies, build a number of entrepreneurial parks and rural entrepreneurial incubation training bases, and promote "one-stop" business services to promote employment through entrepreneurship.

In terms of speeding up project construction and expanding posts, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will organize the implementation of high-standard farmland construction, major water conservancy facilities construction, rural living environment improvement, agricultural non-point source pollution control and other projects, and absorb more returning migrant workers to participate in the construction in accordance with the principle of "using all the applications and using all the resources", so as to increase their employment and income at home. In addition, it is necessary to expand the county economy and expand posts.

Zeng Yande, Director of the Development Planning Department of the Chief Agronomist of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs:At present, about 55% of migrant workers are employed in the county. It is necessary to vigorously develop domestic service, logistics and distribution, old-age care, etc. in the county, guide qualified central towns to develop small and micro enterprise clusters, cultivate and form industries with strong driving force and large employment capacity, and create more employment opportunities for returning migrant workers.
