Real case
Recently, Ms. Lou (Hua’s surname) of Chengxiang Street in Xiaoshan received an email entitled "Application for Personal Labor Subsidy in 2023" at home, which required "scanning the QR code registration information in the document and receiving the labor subsidy for on-the-job personnel." Ms. Lou didn’t think much, scanned the code and opened the link, and filled in personal information such as ID number and bank card number as prompted. However, when she filled in the verification code and payment password, she received a debit message from the bank, showing that the deduction was 6900 yuan, and she realized that she was cheated.
Routine analysis
Step 1: Send fake mail.
Liars illegally embezzle the mailboxes of internal managers of enterprises and send emails to employees in batches. The contents are official documents of relevant government departments on issuing "labor allowances and subsidies" with QR codes attached.
Step 2: Induce to fill in personal information.
The swindler induces the deceived person to scan the code and log in to the fraudulent website, click "Confirm Collection" on the page, and fill in personal information such as ID number, bank card number and bank card balance as prompted.
Step 3: Induce the input of verification code.
After the deceived person receives the short message of the bank’s verification code, he is induced to input information such as verification code and bank card password to steal the balance in the victim’s card.
1. If you receive an email similar to "scan the QR code to receive subsidies", check with the relevant departments of the company in time, and don’t believe it easily.
2. Don’t scan the unknown QR code at will, and protect personal information such as ID number, bank card number, balance and mobile phone verification code.
3. In case of online fraud, keep relevant evidence materials such as chat records and transaction records, and call 96110 in time.
