Li Rusheng, chief engineer of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, said at the press conference that the pace of "going out" in the construction industry has also accelerated in the past decade. International competitiveness has been significantly enhanced, and foreign project contracting has spread to more than 190 countries and regions around the world. Since 2013, the turnover of foreign contracted projects and the amount of newly signed contracts have generally maintained a sustained growth trend. In 2021, 79 enterprises were selected into the list of the world’s largest 250 international contractors, and the number of enterprises and the proportion of business have been ranked first in the world since 2014.
