Science and Technology Daily, Beijing, November 14th (Reporter Liu Yuanyuan) On the 14th, the National Energy Administration held an online news conference for the fourth quarter to introduce the energy situation in the first three quarters of 2022 and the grid-connected operation of renewable energy.
"In the first three quarters of 2022, China’s renewable energy installed capacity was 90.36 million kilowatts, accounting for 78.8% of the country’s new power generation installed capacity." Wang Dapeng, deputy director of the New Energy and Renewable Energy Department of the National Energy Administration, said that the installed capacity of renewable energy has steadily expanded. Among them, hydropower increased by 15.9 million kilowatts, wind power increased by 19.24 million kilowatts, photovoltaic power generation increased by 52.6 million kilowatts, and biomass power generation increased by 2.62 million kilowatts, accounting for 13.9%, 16.8%, 45.8% and 2.3% of the newly installed capacity in China respectively.
By the end of September 2022, the installed capacity of renewable energy power generation in China reached 1.146 billion kilowatts. Among them, hydropower installed capacity is 406 million kilowatts (including pumped storage capacity of 43 million kilowatts), wind power installed capacity is 348 million kilowatts, photovoltaic power generation installed capacity is 358 million kilowatts, and biomass power generation installed capacity is 40.6 million kilowatts. The power generation of renewable energy has also increased steadily: in the first three quarters of 2022, the national renewable energy power generation reached 1.94 trillion kWh.
"Renewable energy continues to maintain a high level of utilization." Wang Dapeng said that in the first three quarters of 2022, the water energy utilization rate of major river basins in China was about 98.6%, an increase of 1.1 percentage points over the same period of last year; The average utilization rate of wind power in China is 96.5%, which is 0.5 percentage points lower than the same period of last year. The average utilization rate of photovoltaic power generation in China was 98.2%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points over the same period of last year.
Dong Wancheng, deputy director of the Development Planning Department of the National Energy Administration, said that the first batch of large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases have all started, and the second batch of projects are starting one after another. At present, the third batch of project review is being promoted. In the first eight months of this year, the investment in key projects in the national energy field was 1,229.5 billion yuan, up 16.7% year-on-year, 0.8 percentage points higher than the growth rate in the first half of this year.
"Anchoring peak carbon dioxide emissions’s carbon neutrality, ‘ Fourteenth Five-Year Plan ’ During this period, we will thoroughly implement ‘ Four revolutions and one cooperation ’ The new strategy of energy security promotes the high-quality leap development of renewable energy. " Wang Dapeng said that in terms of production, the development mode will be optimized and renewable energy will be developed on a large scale; In terms of technology, we will adhere to the drive of innovation and develop renewable energy with high quality. Intensify the research on renewable energy technology innovation, fill in the shortcomings of technology and equipment, accelerate the cultivation of new models and formats, improve the modernization level of industrial chain, enhance the flexibility and toughness of supply chain, and continuously consolidate and enhance the international competitiveness of China’s renewable energy industry.
