[Pacific Auto] On the evening of July 19th, Lei Jun, founder, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi, gave the 5th annual speech with the theme of Courage, which mainly talked about the ins and outs of building a car and the ups and downs of the past three years. After the speech, a variety of Xiaomi ecological products were released, and then the latest development of Xiaomi automobile was announced, and the information of |) Ultra prototype was released. It will be equipped with a three-motor system with 1,584 horsepower and an acceleration of 1.97 seconds, which will challenge the New North Africa mass production lap list in October this year.


Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype, based on Xiaomi SU7, is a "brushing weapon" specially designed for the track. Its birth purpose is to challenge the speed list of mass production in New North Africa, and its ultimate goal is to become the fastest four-door electric vehicle in New North within ten years.

It is worth mentioning that many advanced technologies carried on the prototype will be widely used in production cars in the future after being verified by the track, which is also the key reason why Xiaomi insists on using four-door cars to fight in New North, and the production version of SU7 Ultra will officially challenge the speed list of new North production cars in 2025.


In terms of appearance, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype adopts a longer, wider and lower design, and the body covers a large number of track kits, with unique lightning yellow color matching and lightning pull, and the overall style is very track-like.

More importantly, the new car adopts the "all-carbon" design, and the body cover is 100% made of carbon fiber, including 24 front lips/bumpers, fenders/side skirts/side walls/doors, rear bumpers/diffusers/tails, and roof/front and rear covers. The total weight of the whole car is over 599kg, and the curb weight is only 1900kg, which is lighter than some mass-produced oil trucks of the same size.

In order to maximize the track capacity, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype also built aerodynamic design. Specially designed fixed race tail, oversized tail diffuser, front and rear open wheel arches, oversized front lip, front wheel diffuser, U-shaped air knife, etc. jointly brought the maximum vehicle downforce of 2145kg. Such a strong downforce greatly improved the handling stability of the whole vehicle and played a vital role in improving the track lap speed.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype are 5260/2064/1406mm and 3000mm respectively. In contrast, the length, width and height of the millet SU7 currently on sale are 4997/1963/1455mm and the wheelbase is 3000mm, respectively.



In terms of power, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype is equipped with a three-motor system consisting of dual V8s motors and V6 motors. The comprehensive output of the system reaches 1548 horsepower, and the acceleration time of 0-100km/h is only 1.97 seconds (including the starting time), and the acceleration time of 0-200km/h is 5.96 seconds (including the starting time), exceeding 350 km/h.

This car is also equipped with track-specific, including AP six-brake calipers, racing brake discs and brake pads with the highest working temperature above 800℃, and the braking distance of 100-0km/h is only 25m.

In addition, in order to meet the higher power demand of the three-motor system, the car will be equipped with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited’s second-generation Kirin battery, which can support the maximum discharge power of 1330kW, the peak voltage of 897V and the power density as high as 3075W/kg. Through the thinner pole piece design, it can still output the maximum power of more than 800kW even under the low power of 20%, thus ensuring the stable high power output in the second half of the New North circuit.
At the same time, the battery pack also supports a charging rate of up to 5.2C It takes only 12 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80%, so it can be recharged at any time and return to the track.

At present, the fastest electric four-door car in North Ring Road of New Gehringer is Turbo GT (Weissach Suite version), which set a lap time record of 7 minutes, 07.55 seconds in March this year, and this achievement is also the fastest four-door car among all power train types in New North. The production version of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is very difficult, but there is still some hope to challenge Plaid’s 7: 25.231 (equipped with track kit and without Yoke steering wheel).

Regarding the price of this car, although Lei Jun didn’t disclose it in detail, he ridiculed that he might not even be able to afford it, but this car will not be mass-produced and listed. The real mass-produced one is Xiaomi SU7 Ultra. According to the current pace, it is expected to be released in the first half of 2025. After the car goes on the market, it will compete with FR, Model Slaid and Taycan Turbo GT. The official acceleration time of these models is less than 2.3 seconds, and the cheapest one is 001 FR, and the official acceleration time is only 2.02, and the price is 769,000. In addition, Lei Jun also announced the next production capacity and channel planning of Xiaomi Auto at the press conference. Lei Jun said that all models of Xiaomi SU7 are scheduled to start OTA upgrade in August, adding a wake-up defense function outside the car. When the vehicle is in the P-block state and the window door is closed, the function will take effect to avoid waking up Xiao Ai’s classmates outside the car by mistake.


Regarding delivery, Lei Jun said that the annual sales target of 100,000 units is expected to be completed ahead of schedule in November. Since the delivery started on April 3 this year, Xiaomi SU7 has delivered a total of 7,058 vehicles in April, 8,630 vehicles in May and 14,296 vehicles in June. If you want to complete the delivery target of 100,000 units in advance in November, the next monthly delivery needs to exceed 14,000 units, which is not difficult. At present, after a new round of production line optimization and maintenance, Xiaomi’s production capacity is gradually released, and the weekly delivery volume can reach 0.37 million units. However, if you want to strive to deliver 120,000 vehicles this year, it is a bit difficult to ensure that the monthly delivery exceeds 15,000 vehicles.

In terms of stores, Xiaomi Auto’s sales and service network is also in full swing. As of July 2024, Xiaomi Auto’s stores will cover 31 cities across the country, including 30 delivery centers, 103 sales stores and 59 service stores. In July, it is planned to add 17 stores, covering four cities of Jinan, Changzhou, Changchun and Guiyang. By the end of 2024, Xiaomi Automobile’s sales and service network is expected to cover 59 cities across the country, with the number of delivery centers increasing to 53, sales stores increasing to 220 and service stores increasing to 135.
